To My Fellow Bus Riders And Their Cell Phones
by Mindy L. Messenger
I apologize if you think I care
that you are going to see Carrot
Top perform tonight, and that he
is rather funny- according to Barrett,
or that your father tutors you,
and no, that's not true- Becca,
is, like, really smart because
she's, like, gooder at math than you,
or that I stare at you
because I don't care
that there are things you don't know,
and things you know you don't know,
but how does one always know
what those not-known things are?
I apologize if you think I care.
